“When I first began lessons with Taylor, I struggled to use my voice and often felt uncomfortable- even when it came to speaking. Even more so, singing in front of anyone terrified me, which was precisely why I wanted to begin lessons; to face my fear and gain an understanding of how the voice works. It didn’t take more than a couple of lessons to recognize that I was beginning to gain so much more than I had even desired.
Taylor’s warmth, presence, uplifting spirit, and exceptional knowledge has not only impacted my comfortability with singing and using my voice, but it’s catalyzed confidence in other areas of my empowerment as well. His belief in his singers’ voices—no matter their experience—has also permitted me to embrace that faith within myself. It’s through
Taylor’s encouragement of exploring the voice and having fun with singing that has simultaneously expanded an exploration of my embodiment in all aspects of myself. Taylor always provides a supportive understanding for how the body produces sound and how to remove the tension preventing sounds to fully flow. Just as importantly, his passion for singing and helping his students naturally ignites my own curiosity to keep learning on my own through pure enjoyment.
I can say with absolute confidence that Taylor’s teaching style, dedication, insight, and gifts will actively show and prove to anybody with a voice what their potential holds.”

“I just had my first lesson with Taylor a little over a week ago. Man, the guy's got some skills.
In just one lesson he showed me some tricks that yielded a palpable improvement in my sound. I've had quite a few lessons with various teachers and Taylor showed me a few tricks to make sure my tongue is not pulled back too far into my throat.
There was a really awesome exercise involving a pen that he showed me and that not only made me realize how much cleaner/freer the sound is coming out when my tongue is at a proper position -- but some of the other tricks he showed me to keep the jaw and unnecessary movement still.
Taylor's got a great ear, I loved all the exercises he showed me, and am feeling a palpable improvement in my awareness, relaxation, and sound after just one session.Seeing him again this Wednesday, I can't wait. Needless to say, I highly recommend lessons with him.
He is practical, perceptive and showed me some really cool exercises no one else did. He is the MAN. Thanks, Taylor! Peace”

“I am working with Taylor right now, and he's a marvel. I am really astounded by the progress that I have made since we began working together, and I put most of that down to Taylor's ability to patiently iterate on new approaches with me, looking for ones that fit my voice, my place in my singing journey and my learning style. I feel like this is the most progress that I have made in a long while, and now I have all of these new areas of my voice to continue to explore. This is exactly what I was looking for.Highly recommended!”
